BAS is a Seattle-based interior design studio run by me — just me. And no, BAS doesn’t stand for anything. It’s named after my cat, Basya (Bas for short), who has excellent taste and zero interest in trends.

I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things — the kind that make you feel something. Growing up, I actually hated my mom’s style, which might’ve been my first clue that I had opinions about interiors. Since then, I’ve been quietly collecting inspiration, rearranging rooms, noticing light, texture, and the way a space can completely change your mood.

My aesthetic leans modern, but not cold or Miami-modern. Think japandi influences, industrial touches, clean lines softened with warmth, texture, and intention. I love spaces that feel calm but considered, minimal but not empty — spaces that look good and feel even better to live in.

I’m not a traditionally trained designer, and I’m not trying to be something I’m not. BAS exists because I believe good design doesn’t have to be intimidating or overdone. It should feel personal, thoughtful, and a little emotional. I work best with people who trust their instincts, want a space that reflects them, and aren’t chasing every trend that shows up on Instagram.
